Mission to Alaska
From July12-July 22 of this year the youth will be going on a mission trip to Alaska. The purpose of this trip is to give the youth a real missions experience to a third world life without the dangers and cost that come with going to a third world nation.
In Alaska there are tribes with no running water. The natives of Alaska have the highest teen suicide rates in the nation and have a need for people to come and minister to them. The youth will be activated in their gifts by being given the opportunity to bring healing, love and the salvation of Jesus Christ to the native Alaskans. In addition to reaching the remote areas they will also minister in the inner city of Wasilla and work at the local Dream Center as well as in the worship services of the hosting church.
The youth will also be visiting the glaciers and enjoying outings that will allow them to see the Glory of God in nature. This is going to be a very exciting and life changing trip for everyone involved.
COST: $950 per person TOTAL
God has given us great favor in the area of finances. This amount includes airfare, food, lodging, and special events. Young Warriors will be doing fund raisers and believing for God to provide all the finances so it will not be a burden on their families. We will work with other youth groups in the area that are wanting to come under the Upper Room banner in the areas of fund raising strategies, logistics, ect. Cost does not included personal spending money.
What to bring?
The weather will be warm but on the glaciers it can be quite cold, so, bring clothes that you can layer. Please bring toiletry products as well as a bath towel. I would recommend bringing one pillow. Also, it’s not a bad idea to have some personal cash on hand.
Most importantly all youth must have completed, signed permission and medical release forms!

Monday’s event may be switched to Tuesday and Tuesdays to Monday.
Spiritual Example
If the majority of the kids have a spirit of intersession fall on them and would rather pray all day then go on one of the outings we will do so.
July 12 – Fly to Ted Stevens Anchorage Airport (ANC) and get settled in.
July 13–
July 14– Inter-city outreach and Dream Center visit
July 15– Visit the glaciers
July 16– Attend, and be involved in, youth service & prepare for 2 days of outreach.
